Graduation Requirements

Students must complete three requirements in order to graduate:

1. Earn 21.5 credits 

English 4 Credits Four years of ELA - ELA 1,2,3,4, or CCP/AP
Math 4 Credits Must include Algebra 2 or an equivalent of
Social Studies  3 Credits Must include World History, US History, and US Government    
Science 3 Credits

Must include 1 unit of physical science, 1 unit of Life Science

1 unit of Advanced Science
Health 1/2 Credit  
Physical Education  1/2 Credit

A students who participates in interscholastic athletics, marching band, or cheerleading for 

at least 2 full seasons may substitute 1/2 credit in any subject for PE credit
Computer Science 1/2 Credit Can be Computer Applications, STEM Fabrication Lab, Robotics, Programming, Cybersecurity 
Financial Literacy 1/2 Credit  
Electives 5 1/2 Credits 

Elective credits can include one or any combination of:

  • World (Foreign) Language
  • Fine Arts, Business, Family and Consumer Sciences
  • Career-Technical Education
  • English Language Arts, Math, Science, or Social Studies courses not otherwise required

 

2. Earn Competency

MUST Meet Competency on Algebra I & ELA II Ohio State Tests (EOC) with a Score of 684 or higher.  If a student does not meet score requirements, there are several alternative pathways.

3. Earn Readiness                           

Must Earn 2 Seals to show Readiness by earning two seals.  See attachment that outlines how to earn seals.
